'The Mono Trio Live' was recorded in December 2019 at First Church Belfast, a beautiful old building with superb acoustics and a fine Yamaha grand piano.

The selected tracks form part of the band's set list of songs by Nina Simone as well as one of their own compositions, Miami.

The live recording came about quite by chance when sound engineer Matt McIlvor asked if the band wanted the gig recoreded. So what you hear on record is exactly as played on the night with only a few blips and sctraches removed.
